St. George’s Historical Society Museum

Step back in time to the early days of Bermuda at the St. George’s Historical Society Museum, located in the Town of St. George, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The museum is located inside Mitchell House, which was built in the 1730s and remains much as it was nearly 300 years ago, complete with period furnishings and a colonial-era kitchen.

Throughout the house, you’ll find artifacts from Bermuda’s history, including a Gutenberg-style printing press which is used for printing demonstrations every Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm.
